Ideas, solutions, that "Ah ha!" that comes to us seemingly out of nowhere... Where does creative inspiration come from and how can we harness it to use when we really need it? Ideas, solutions, that “Ah ha!” that comes to us seemingly out of nowhere… Where does creative inspiration come from and how can we harness it to use when we really need it? Creative Inspiration comes from the wisdom of the universe… to which we are all connected. It can come at any time, wherever we are. It is available to all of us when we are ready and willing to accept it.
Often it's presented to us right there in front of our eyes, but we don't see it or we don't recognize it... Because we're just not paying attention. Our minds are too cluttered with the stuff of the day.
But, when we take the time to close our eyes and look within we find exactly what we need to find. The wisdom we seek comes from within. How we define events and objects is personal and unique to us.
Take for example a structure like the Golden Gate Bridge. One person may see a bridge. Another person may see this glorious feat of architecture or a work of art or a piece of history. While yet, another sees a more convenient route to travel.
That bridge is all these things and more. It's the same way with people. We can't be defined by what we do or how we appear. The bridge is a creation that man made by means of divine intelligence... creativity.
Each person is a creation and a creator. We have access to divine intelligence and creativity; and it will flow through us as much as we allow it to.
The famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a child prodigy. A genious, whose creations touch people still... and probably always will. He was able to tap into his imagination and bring this creative inspiration forth because he listened to the music he heard in his head. He didn't turn it off or turn away from it. He embraced it. He allowed the music of the universe to flow through him.
He was sensitive enough to translate the music he heard into notes and chords that we can all hear and enjoy. We can all access and tap into the creativity of the universe. It's here for each and every one of us. Mozart is an example to us that it can be done.
And we don't have to be Mozart to be creative or have great insight. Insight can come to better understand ourselves, solve a problem at work, heal a wound, comfort a friend.
We all get little glimpses of insight every day. We might get a hunch or feeling or some kind of signal from our bodies. When we become aware of these signals and pay attention to them they become more obvious to us and we notice them more frequently. We can also learn to call on them as we need them.
One way that we can allow divine inspiration to flow through us is with meditation. Time spent in silence every day gives us the pause we need to unclutter our minds and let divine intelligence inspire us.
The universe speaks to us and we just need to set aside time to listen.
So, try this technique:
Next time you have a big decision to make... before you go into meditation ask the universe for inspiration. Put the question out there and then... Let it go. Just meditate quietly.
Chances are that the perfect answer will not come to you during your meditation time. But look for it when you're out in your everyday activity. Something will happen. Either you'll read something or meet someone or discover something that will help you to make the best decision for you.
Be open to it and be ready for it, because the universe is here to support you in every aspect of your life.
You are a beautiful creation of the universe and you are creating your life at every moment with every action that you take.
